Sept. 19, 2019—Note from Julie about Ethan who is in Kindergarten:
Today Ethan was telling me about some girls that he was playing with at recess.
Ethan: I played with Lillian and Brighton’s friend in Mrs. B’s class. She’s my girlfriend.
Mom: You mean your friend girl, a girl that’s your friend.

Ethan: No, she’s my girlfriend. I’m crushed! (Meaning, I have a crush on her. :) I’m crushed with Lillian, Lillian’s friend, Aspen, .....
