Lydia and Ethan

Lydia hugs Julie.  Kristilyn, John, Julie, and Ethan flew to California to visit Lego Land and Sea World.  Lillian, Amelia and Lydia stayed with Grandpa and Grandma.  Mark took James and Grant on a tour of Utah counties for a school project staying in Logan, Green River, and hiking to Delicate Arch.

We went to This is the Place Heritage Park.  Amelia and Lillian's favorite thing was to pan for gold.  It was trick-or-treat day which made it especially fun.  We didn't know that before we went.

The memorial to the Pioneer Children was amazing with many sculptures of children and the names of 6000 + children who died on the Plains between 1847-1869.

The girls spent a lot of time looking at the names.  They loved the statues and really related to them.  Lydia wanted to be first to press the buttons to hear the stories.

This is the Place monument.  We couldn't get to it that day because they are constructing another building nearby.

Lydia on a pony with Grandma.  Not the best picture of Lydia but it does show her gorgeous eyelashes.

More fun things in the park.

The elevator was a favorite of Lillian and Amelia.

Lydia loved the blocks at West Jordan Library.

October 26th was James' Eagle Scout project clean out window wells and clean off rust then paint the window wells and covers at the INN Between, a hospice and emergency care facility for those who have no place else to go

Kristilyn, Grant, and James are busy on the project.  Mark had to leave for a while to conduct a funeral.

Lillian, John, Keith, and Amelia work on a window well.

The finished project

Grant's Eagle project is to update the water, snacks, and flashlights for a middle school in case of emergency.

Grandpa and Grandma took Lillian, Amelia, and John to Sugar House Park to enjoy the beautiful fall weather while the rest of the family worked.

John especially liked this picture showing him "rooted" in the gospel.

The Primary program was wonderful.  Amelia, John, and Lillian sang and did their parts well.  Grant and James passed the sacrament.  Kristilyn sat with the Sunbeams. Mark conducted the meeting but he was so busy taking care of the ward that he didn't get in the picture.

Marilee and Chris were married on Coronado Beach on October 15.

The bride's family

Colorado had some snow early in the month which Milly loved.  She looks a lot like her siblings in this pictures--so cute!

Desi made her snow ice cream.

Halloween costumes for Milly, Ruby, and Ivy.

This is a precious picture from when Charlotte and Kate were born.  They are only a few hours old and Melody was so sick.  I was awed to hold another miraculous set of twin grandchildren in my arms.  Children grow up too fast!
