March-April 2020--Earthquake, Pandemic, Spring, Bham Twins Gender Reveal

We had a 5.7 magnitude earthquake centered in Magna on March 18 at 7:10 A.M.  There were many aftershocks for weeks afterwards.  We felt the quake strongly but there was no damage.  However the Angel Moroni lost his trumpet from the Salt Lake Temple.

Books fell off the shelves and there was some damage in the Family History Library but nothing too severe.


Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Eliasons couldn't go to the historic Church sites in the East.  (Mark's missionary parents were released early because of the virus.  About 30,000 missionaries were reassigned or released--half the missionary force.) They took an overnight trip to see Utah instead.



They went on a temple tour of all the temple grounds between their home and Arches National Park.  The children loved hiking in Goblin Valley.

They visited Delicate Arch the day before the park was closed to the public.  There were very few people there.

Ethan and Lydia came for General Conference. 

The children put out pictures of President Nelson and Elder Rasband. 

Ethan liked playing with Jason. 

Lydia set up places for the dolls to watch conference, too. 

We did a family zoom so that we could see each other.  It is so strange not to be able to attend church or the temple.
