Our son and brother, Kevin Bradley Smith, age 43, passed
away during the night on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Sandstone Pioneer Trail
Nursing Home. Kevin was born on January 27, 1982, in Brigham City, Utah, to
Mary Kathleen (Kathie) Rogers Smith and Dennis Lee Smith. He is the fourth
child in the family. His siblings are Timothy Scott Smith (deceased), Marilee
Michelle Smith Vicencio, Christopher Thomas Smith, and Douglas Bruce Smith.
He was born into an active Latter-day Saint family and
attended church with them. Kevin attended school at Bunderson Elementary, Box
Elder Junior High School, and Box Elder High School. He played cello in junior
high, worked with his dad at Zero Defects after high school, and attended
college at Utah State University.
He married Candice Gardner in July 2005. They had two
daughters: Cerice and Cerrah. Later he earned his Bachelor’s degree and taught
high school math at Minico High School in Paul, Idaho. He enjoyed electronics,
politics, and building things.
He died from a rare disease called adrenal myelo neuropathy
after a slow decline over many years. At the end he spent nearly a year in
Sandstone Pioneer Trail Nursing Home. We appreciate the care he received there.
Kevin is survived by his mother: Kathie Smith; siblings:
Marilee (Chris) Vicencio, Christopher, Doug (Tracy), and daughters: Cerice and
Cerrah Smith.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12,
2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City,
Utah. There will be a Viewing prior to the service from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. at
the mortuary. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Myers Mortuary of
Brigham City, Utah.
