John's special gift was cell phones for both of us. It is a steep learning curve to teach us old dogs new tricks. We spent Monday night entering your telephone numbers into our contact lists. Our telephone numbers begin with 385. They have run out of 801 area codes in the Salt Lake Valley so are now using 385.
Jason was giving John some help with his first cell phone. Everyone was very helpful and we need all the help we can get! Jason isn't having a lot of fun doing math all day at school right now but things will work out. He rides the "fast bus" from the mall to UVU so that takes some of the hassle out of the I-15 construction through Utah County. 
We are getting set up for the premiere of the family video from 2006-2010. We appreciate everyone sharing photos, music ideas, skills, and talents to put it together and especially to Krisitlyn for the final editing and production. She will be making copies soon so I will be mailing your copies to you in the near future. It is a wonderful memory keeper.This pictures shows Kristilyn and Kim on the sofa and Kira, James, Grant, and Talisa on the red chairs. Talisa was so eager to see the boys she was watching out the window until they came.
This picture doesn't do justice to the beautiful skirt Julie is wearing. Jason bought it for her in Israel and it has white, shimmering embroidery over the fabric.
In response to your questions about Kristilyn, this is how she looks! The baby girls are due on August 25 but if they come by August 4, three weeks early, it will be all right because 37 weeks is considered full-term for twins. Kristilyn says that she still feels good but afternoon naps are becoming necessary.
From the back, Kristilyn doesn't even look pregnant! You can see that the area by the closet is the favorite drop off place for visitors' stuff. Kira loves riding the giraffe around the kitchen/livingroom circle.
The Dutch iris have done very well. The peonies haven't lasted very long and the poppies were also short lived. It's nice to have different flowers bloom. Today is the first day of summer and it really doesn't seem like we've had much of a spring. Sunday we had a huge rain/thunder storm that left 1.2 to 2.5 inches of rain in various parts of the valley. It was like a tropical storm for a while but the storm drains took the water well. The Jordan River is near flood stage with some flooding.
The weird weather has caused many trees and bushes to winter kill. John pruned our roses way back and they are doing well. John keeps the lawn perfectly manicured.
Our neighbors to the east took out the evergreen that was on the fenceline near our driveway.
The sweet peas are blooming beautifully and smell wonderful.

He has served as bishop of his deaf ward for 7 years and is the person the Church selected to do the ASL sign for the the endowment session to help the deaf and hearing impaired understand the session. We learn so much from every student that we work with and marvel at the qualities and talents they bring with them into the mission. We are training the second half of the June group now. It is amazing how many of them are live at home missionaries or come from Idaho. Some of the live at home missionaries commute from Provo, Orem, and Highland. They are really needed.
We had our interviews with the bishop and stake president and things are now arranged so that on July 29, 2011, we will be released as FTM's and our status changed to CSM's. We will continue to work in the same place and won't even have to get another parking pass for the Conference Center. We will have August to take care of family needs then John will start back the Tuesday after Labor Day for three of the four weeks. I will return to the Training Zone depending on how things go with the family.
We love the pictures of the new paint on Desi and Mike's home. What a wonderful project to have completed. We are thrilled that the adoption for Anna is finally completed. We are looking forward to our visit to the Carters for her blessing and sealing. Her dress and Daniel's white pants are ready to go! We are excited that that we will be able to visit with the Roberts.
