Kansas City Missouri Temple Dedication

John and Kathryn Ann arrived in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday evening, April 28.  Brandon finished his last rotation and Melody had her last day of work at Faultless on April 27.  Her associates did many kind things for her to show their appreciation for her contribution to the company.  The Kansas City Temple Open House was so popular that they extended it for an extra week which only gave them one week to clean the temple and finish the landscaping before the dedication on May 6.  Brandon and Melody served again as open house guides the morning of April 28. 

This is Brandon and Melody's regular meetinghouse--the stake center adjoining the temple.  They have been meeting in their old building for a few weeks during the open house.  Sunday, April 29, was their Testimony Meeting and it was inspirational to hear their feelings about their new temple. 

 We went to the temple site on Thursday, May 3, and there were many people busy with landscaping and building the area for the cornerlaying ceremony.  The temple and the site is absolutely beautiful!!!

 Thursday, May 3, we went out to the National Frontier Trails Museum and learned about the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails as well as other western trails.  Independence, Missouri, was the jumping off point for many pioneers. 

Melody fixed a lovely birthday dinner for John. 

The family who are buying Brandon and Melody's home are very eager to move in.
