On Saturday, November 24, 2012, we attended an endowment
session and sealing session in the Jordan River Temple with our extended Rasband
family for the sealings of Aunt Lillian and Uncle Ray Rasband and Aunt Lillian and her sister Marie to their parents.
Those
participating were:
Aunt Geneve Rasband Buys Bain Gubler and her children:
Marlene and Jerry
Pulsipher, daughter Becky and Richard Boekweg from California, and grandson
Adam who did baptisms for the dead.
Joe and Saundra Buys
Ronda and Bruce Lee from
Colorado
Cousin: Clyde and Cheryl Rasband
Kathryn Ann and John Rogers
Karen and Richard Keetch
Karen and Richard, Clyde and
Cheryl, John and Kathryn Ann attended the endowment session at noon and participated
together in the prayer circle. Then we went to a sealing room for the 2:00 PM sealings
of Aunt Lillian and Uncle Ray Rasband, her parents, and Lillian and her sister Marie
to their parents. Brother Kinikini was
the officiator. Everyone in the room was
dressed in white. Aunt Geneve Buys was
there in a wheelchair and was proxy for Aunt Lillian. Ronda was proxy for Marie. Karen and Richard and John and Kathryn Ann took turns
being proxy for Lillian’s parents. Bruce
and Joe were the witnesses. Marlene and
Jerry, who made all the arrangements, made sure that everything was done
correctly. Others who could not be there
had helped with other ordinance work previously. It was a tender, memorable experience to be
together and complete the work for Uncle Ray and Aunt Lillian Rasband.
