Presidents' Day Weekend, 2013

Lillian turned 18 months this week.
Lillian, Kristilyn, Grant, James holding Amelia
Grant and James love to play "Grandpa Catch Us" so they decided to make signs and maps to put on the wall to keep track of their score.  One sign said, "Go fast to break threw."  Another sign said, "Slow down."  Later they added, "Lillian in the way!"
Elder and Sister Marvin Kucher were honored at a special zone luncheon on Valentine's Day as he retires to return to Provo to care for his wife.  He has been the Training Zone Leader for seven years.  The last 1 1/2 years he has commuted from Provo after his wife was released because of severe heart problems.  They have been a tremendous blessing in our lives.  Elder Kent Meyers will be our new zone leader.
Aunt Geneve Buys Gubler, 88, Grandpa Rasband's sister, died on February 10, 2013 and was buried in Tooele on February 16, 2013.  She was diagnosed with an aortic aneurism in May, 2012, and because of her excellent health, had surgery.  She never fully recovered and had severe memory loss since.  She and her husband, Dr. Kelly Gubler, were living in an assisted living center.
The funeral was a tribute to her life of service, faith, and positive attitude.  Karen, Richard, John and I went together and almost all of the cousins were at the viewing or the funeral.  She had five children, twenty grandchildren, and forty great-grandchildren and most of them were present.
It was a beautiful day of remembrance and appreciation.  All the spouses of the children participated in the funeral.
Talisa got glasses this week.  She is so cute and excited.  She commented that she looks older:  "I look like I'm nine!"  Her seventh birthday is next Saturday.
 Kira is so cute.
Amelia, Lillian, and Kira were making a train to chug around the large family room.
Mark with 18-month-old Amelia and Lillian .  They are planning to move back into their Bryan home on March 2.  Hopefully their coming baby will wait until after the move.
Amelia is very girly.  She likes bows in her hair, bracelets, necklaces, and prefers to carry a purse.
Kim was a gracious hostess for our February dinner.

Keith and Kim, Julie and Jason, Kristilyn, and Mark.
Kira loves to have her daddy rub her back.

Katrina is recovering quickly and well from her surgery and their family is busy and well.

Mike and Desi's baby Ivy had/had RSV this week but didn't have to be hospitalized.  Ruby celebrated her 2nd birthday on Valentine's Day.  Kim shared cute pictures of their family on her i-phone.

Melody got an i-phone and is excited to explore and master all of its features.
