Charlotte Lori and Kathryn Elise (Kate) Roberts

Charlotte Lori and Kathryn Elise (Kate) Roberts were born to Melody and Brandon Roberts by emergency C-section at 11:04 and 11:05 PM on Monday, December 30, 2013.  Charlotte weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces and was 18 1/4 inches long.  Kate weighed 6 pounds and was 19 inches long.  They were both very healthy and strong for only being 36 weeks of gestation.  Melody was suffering from preeclampsia and had the magnesium sulfate drip which made her extremely ill for the 24 hours but the family is doing well now.

Brandon, Melody, Charlotte, and Kate

Grandma Rogers holding Charlotte and Grandpa holding Kate.  They arrived on Tuesday.  

 Their first car ride was from the hospital.  They had to have an hour and a half test to see if they were safe to ride in car seats before they were allowed to leave the hospital.

Brandon with his 93 year-old grandma, Nina Wadsworth an Sunday afternoon, January 5.  Charlotte and Kate are #148 and #149 of her combined grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was so thrilled to see them.  While talking on the phone to her daughter Lori as she was holding one of the babies:  "I just gained 5 pounds and in exactly the right place!"
