Grant and James were baptized and confirmed with their grandfathers as witnesses and family, and friends in attendance. Grant drew the cover for the program. Baptism is by immersion and the angled mirror shows the reflection so everyone can see well.

Patience runs out for some though the little girls were well-behaved throughout the meeting.
The program was very nice with many family members participating. Aunt Kristen told about Great-Grandma Eliason's baptism 96 years ago in a pond reading the words of her journal. She showed pictures of Grant and James with her. She lived to be 101. The boys were then baptized. All of James and Grant's siblings and cousins sang "I Am A Child of God."
Grandma Eliason told about how she was comforted by the Holy Ghost and the light of a telephone when she was too ill to come to help when James and Grant were born. After taking her husband and Kristen to the airport, she returned home with a 102 degree fever to a power outage that lasted for hours. She finally left the security of her car but the house was completely dark. She heard the telephone ringing and made her way through the darkness to answer the phone. When she did there was a tiny light that lifted her spirits, and a message that gave her comfort. She likened this to the Holy Ghost. The boys were then confirmed (given a blessing by those holding the Priesthood) and given the gift of the Holy Ghost and became official members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was a sacred, tender meeting.
After the meeting family and friends enjoyed a delicious meal. Keith and Kim took Talisa, Kira, and Daniel over to play with their Eliason cousins in the afternoon and to share their birthday and Christmas happiness.
