Dearest Family,
We attended the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication this morning. It was tender to realized that every one of our posterity attended the open house. We look forward to the day when each will go to a temple to make his/her sacred temple covenants. I remember well the preparation for the Jordan River Temple. Your packets of saw dust from the building are still in my cedar chest. I still consider teaching the music in Primary as one of my favorite callings because it was such a family effort. To get the visual aids to and from the meetinghouse required everyone. Preparing them was no simple task and you all helped. I felt the Spirit as forcefully and often in Primary as anywhere in my church experiences. For the dedication of the Jordan River Temple we were able to go down
to the Tabernacle on Temple Square. The children wanted to sit in the balcony so we were close to the front on the very front row so they could see. I was pregnant with Julie and when we began to sing "The Spirit of God" she became so animated that I could feel and even see her joy and excitement in her movements which continued for the entire hymn. We are so grateful for the covenant-keeping, exemplary lives you lead and the wonderful homes you have created.
Our 39th wedding anniversary was Friday. We attended a session in the Salt Lake Temple with the mission following the Go Forth meeting. Those days are always so encouraging and motivating. In the afternoon Kristilyn brought over the twins then Keith and Kim brought over Talisa and Kira. What a delight to get to enjoy some of our children and grandchildren. Talisa stayed overnight and we had a fun time together.
Happy Birthday last Thursday, Kim!
We hope Neal had a good trip to Canada for school and that he was able to accomplish the things he needed to do. We're grateful for the tender watch care of ward members of Katrina, Daniel, and Anna while he was gone.
We're excited that Desi is in Tennessee with her family. What a challenge to get two toddlers with car seats through airport security! They will really miss Mike who has to stay in Colorado to work but it's important that they have time with the Bainbridge family too.
We appreciate Julie setting up a blog for us. One of these days when she has time to teach us how to enter information, we'll start posting there. Do you want us to continue to send weekly emails if the information is on the blog?
