Appreciation

This has been a very different week because we have both been sick. I didn't go to the Training Zone on Monday and John was out Wednesday through Friday. I guess we shouldn't share everything! We're grateful for a priesthood blessing for John and a prescription from Mark. Going downtown alone made me more aware of the blessing that we have of serving our mission together and just of having each other. We have so many dear friends without partners and the opportunity of being together is a precious privilege.

John was better by Saturday and was able to attend the Stake Priesthood Breakfast where he was able to visit with many friends from the stake which he hadn't seen in a long time. Saturday night was wonderful as the three sons of John's home teaching companion were baptized. His companion, Hno. De La Rosa, was also sustained to be an elder that day. Their family will be going to the temple soon.

My student last week was from Chile and we've had a marvelous week using the orginal records which have been microfilmed and are in the Family History Library. A comprehensive index has also been released through the pilot on FamilySearch. I'm excited about using the computer to teach Family History to my YW this afternoon.
