The days have been full. We are so grateful that James is doing much better and is home from Primary Children's Medical Center. He was there from Wednesday night, March 3 until Monday afternoon, March 8. He will be on medication for another 3+ weeks for the deep infection. We appreciate for Keith and Kim's tender care. Grant had a wonderful time playing with Talisa. We enjoyed getting to know Grant as an individual from Friday afternoon until Sunday night. We're grateful that Mark is home again with the family after his conference in Florida.
Wednesday night John and I went to Lehi for the viewing of my cousin Sherwood Whitlock (from Uncle Harold and Aunt Lucy's family). Karen and Edie were there along with Steve Hill and Uncle Morris and Aunt Elaine Whitlock. It was tender to visit with many of Uncle Harold's family. George and Sonja Rasband attended the funeral on Friday. Sherwood died after a 5 year battle with cancer.
Saturday, I had a delightful planning meeting for the Whitlock Reunion at Cafe Rio in Draper with Edie, Karen and Tiffany Keetch, Sonja and Reva Rasband, and Rebecca Johnson. The reunion on July 10 is really going to be fun. We will be able to use the zipline for some of our activities. The theme will be "Amazing Race" and we will be divided into 5 teams with different families and ages. People are very willing to help and contribute.
Sunday was Stake Conference with Elder Tate which was excellent. The meeting was long for Grant but he did well.
John and I spent last week with various call back students. John has call back students this week but today I was assigned a church service missionary for the next two weeks. She is from Spanish Fork and will be assigned to work at the FHL in Provo.
Katrina and Neal celebrated Anna's first birthday on Saturday with Daniel at the "Pancake Store" and watched them gather maple syrup from the trees. Anna is growing very well since she received her gastric tube and is now about the 25%ile of heighth and weighth. Their new refridgerator and hutch arrived. They are writing a family letter to bring the family up-to-date with their activities. Neal received his promotion to full professorship in the fall! Congratulations!
