The new FHL will have the same computer bases and software as is available on the Church Campus at Temple Square and will be open 70 hours a week. The will have 50,000 high-demand microfilms and patrons can order others for a couple of dollars and have them there the next day. They have a good basic book collection as well as microfilm readers, microfiche, and 127 new computers. My student next week will serve in this facility so it was helpful to see where he/she will be working.
Afterward we went to visit Keith and Kim. They returned from their cruise at 3:00 AM this morning. They had weather-related delays on their flights but the actual cruise went well and they had a good time. It will be fun to see Kim's blog and hear more about their trip. Julie and Jason took care of Talisa and Kira while they were gone beginning on Tuesday afternoon. Kim's mom took care of the girls the first part of the trip. Keith starts his new job on Monday.
It was fun to have Julie, Jason, Talisa, Kira, Kristilyn, Grant and James visit here on Friday afternoon after they played at West Jordan Park. The cousins get along very well together.
